Answer? Too bloody long! Like the panelbeaters rusty car, we’re guilty of moving our own projects to the back of the line to make sure the paying work get’s done on time. We should have fired ourselves a dozen times by now for the time it’s taken, which was probably around 18 months ago.
When you’re busy it’s hard to justify spending time designing and building your own website, especially if it’s going to attract more work. When we really did feel it, was when we recently went to hire new people. The thought of applicants judging us by our old website was when we knew we had to pull finger. The face we were showing the world absolutely did not fit the business. We’ve moved onwards and upwards and our old website was more of a snapshot of the way we were.
Goes to show, even us brand experts are human and we don’t always get it right. Sucks to be human.
