To reflect their growth and the next steps in their business journey, Kaitiaki Property were ready to redevelop their brand identity. Understanding that they wanted to reference their original logo, we set out to create an identity that was sophisticated and modern but still had strong connection to the philosophy that Kaitiaki Property live by.
Exploring the Koru motif further we were able to turn it into the focal point of the logo - a symbolic reference to their ethos, each koru representing people and environment. We kept their signature red, introduced a contrasting colour palette and incorporated the triangles from the wordmark's letterforms as supporting graphic elements and patterns - creating a unique and distinctive look, while maintaining a link to Kaitiaki’s heritage.
The refreshed brand identity is a perfect balance of old with the new. We also rolled out a range of brand touchpoints that their in-house team could easily use, ensuring consistency across all communications.
